What we collect and why

• Account data: name, email address, password (stored encrypted) or your Google sign-in. To give you access to your dashboard and reports (performance of contract).
• Report settings: your business name, website, markets, competitors and extra report recipients. To make and send your reports (performance of contract).
• Free report requests: business name, website, market, competitors and the domain of your email address. To deliver the free report and to keep it to one per company (legitimate interest).
• Payment and billing data: handled by our payment provider. We receive your plan, payment status, billing country and company details, never your full card number (performance of contract, legal obligation for invoices).
• Messages: what you send us via the contact form or email (legitimate interest).

We only collect what we need. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies and analytics

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We measure visits with privacy-friendly analytics that do not use cookies. When you sign in, your session is stored in your browser so you stay signed in; this is strictly necessary. Our forms are protected against spam by our hosting and security provider, without tracking cookies.

Who processes data for us

• Hosting and security: runs this website, protects it against spam and attacks, and measures visits without cookies.
• Database and accounts: stores your account, settings, competitors and reports.
• Payments: handles payments, invoices and tax.
• Email delivery: sends system emails, such as confirmation links and “your report is ready”.
• Email and office tools: our mailbox and internal spreadsheets.
• Automation provider: moves your report settings between our systems to prepare your report.
• AI text-processing provider: helps summarize public competitor data and draft report text. It receives your business name, website and competitors, not your payment details.
• Screenshot service: takes screenshots of competitors' public ads, emails and websites for your report.

We have agreements with these providers. Some are based outside the EU; in that case transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep data

While your account is active, and 90 days after your plan ends (in case you come back), after which we delete it. Invoices are kept for 7 years because Dutch tax law requires it. You can delete your account yourself at any time in your dashboard.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to its use, by emailing info@trendscoutly.com. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS. Each customer can only see their own data (enforced in our database). Access on our side is limited to the people who make and check reports.
